Carlton, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A 27-year-old Duluth man is accused of stealing a car and leading authorities on a chase.

The Carlton County Sheriff's Dept. said they became aware of the vehicle being stolen in the city of Duluth Tuesday afternoon. It was later spotted by a Minnesota Conservation Officer.

Authorities attempted to stop the driver who was traveling westbound on Highway 210 in Twin Lakes Township. The driver refused to stop.

With the assistance from a number of law enforcement agencies, including the State Patrol and local police, the suspect was eventually stopped on Highway 210 near I-35.

The suspect is being held on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing police in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving after suspension.
