Duluth Man Arrested in Connection With Shooting

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- 26-year-old Dameon Henley has been arrested and formally charged with 2nd Degree Assault for allegedly playing a part in the shooting of 22-year-old Deandre Norwood.

According to Duluth Police, on May 28th Henley pulled out a handgun and pushed it into Norwood's stomach at the intersection of North 7th Avenue East and East 4th Street.

Police say that Henley pulled the trigger several times and the gun did not discharge. Another suspect then came up and shot Norwood in the head.

According to Norwood's family, he has been discharged form the hospital and is recovering. This is still an active investigation and authorities urge anybody with information to call the Duluth Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at (218) 730-5050.
