Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man has been charged with burglary and lottery fraud after allegedly breaking into an East Duluth gas station Wednesday morning.

Duluth police responded to a security alarm at the Cenex gas station on East 9th street around 5:30 Monday morning and found the front doors of the business were forced open. Lottery tickets and cigarettes were stolen in the incident.

21-year-old Tyler Bennett was captured on surveillance video from the burglary and was recognized by the clerk at another Cenex station on East Superior Street. Bennett was trying to redeem stolen lottery tickets at the time.

Police were called and Bennett, along with two others, was arrested. The two others were released after officers determined that Bennett acted alone in the burglary.

He is currently being held at the St. Louis County Jail on charges of felony 3rd degree burglary and felony lottery fraud.
