Duluth Man Indicted for Possesion of a Firearm by a Felon

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A 36-year-old Duluth man has been indicted on one federal count of a felon in possession of firearms.

Ronald Paris Riles was previously convicted in Illinois for first-degree murder.

The indictment alleges that on February 6th of this year Riles possessed a nine-millimeter pistol and a .357-caliber revolver.

Under federal law felons are prohibited from possessing a firearm at any time.

If convicted of the federal charge now levied against him, Riles faces a potential maximum penalty of ten years in prison.
