Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information on two suspects accused of starting fires along the lakewalk in mid-November.

Around midnight on November 14, this duo is suspected of tipping over and damaging several trash cans along the Lakewalk.

Police say a while later, a small fire was started with the contents from the trash cans at the Veteran's Memorial, permanently damaging the memorial.

Todd Kuusisto, arson investigator for the Duluth Police Department says there was a significant amount of damage along the Lakewalk,

He says he is concerned by the suspects behavior and would like them caught before more damage is done.

"It's a disrespectful thing in the first place but it is a crime, both misdemeanors at this point but it does lead to further things that would be concerning including houses, garages, and vehicles that these people may be responsible for."

If you have any information you are asked to contact Investigator Kuusisto at the Duluth Police Department at 218-730-5709.
