Duluth man arrested for felon in possession of a gun

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man has been arrested for Felon in Possession of a Gun after he allegedly shot himself.

On Saturday, Duluth Police were called to the #10 Block of North 25th Avenue West on the report of a shooting incident inside a residence around two in the afternoon.

An initial investigation revealed that 25 year old Nathan Abel Piscitelli of Duluth had a single, non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital for his injury.

Authorities say further investigation revealed that Piscitelli shot himself with a .22 caliber handgun. Officers say they confiscated a gun following a search warrant.

Police arrested Piscitelli on Wednesday after he was released from the hospital. He was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Failure to Register as a Predatory Offender.
