Duluth police investigating personal injury hit and run incident

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Duluth Police are investigating
an incident where a 23-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on Park Point after the Grandma's Marathon celebrations in Canal Park.

On June 17th, between 2:00 a.m. and 2:20 a.m., a hit and run crash occured near South Lake Avenue and 11th Street on Park Point.

The Duluth woman was struck while crossing the street in this area by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.

The victim has suffered a severe leg injury and a possible head injury as a result of the crash.

Information gathered at the scene from the victim led officers to stop a white 1955 Chevrolet station wagon that was found driving in the area shortly after the crash.

Officers determined that the vehicle was not involved in the accident.

There were several people walking and driving in the area around the time of this incident.

Duluth Police Crash Investigators are asking for the public’s help in providing any new information that can help with this investigation.
