Duluth woman pleads guilty to 2012 fatal stabbing

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - 32-year-old Joella Lee Tucker of Duluth pleaded guilty in connection to the 2012 stabbing death of 54-year-old Kevin John Tyman in Duluth's Central Hillside neighborhood.

Tucker pleaded to guilty to an amended charge of aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

She was initially charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.

Tucker faces up to 10 years in prison.

No sentencing date has been set for Tucker.

42-year-old, Raymond Charles Weeks of Two Harbors, is also charged with intentional second-degree murder.

Weeks' case remains pending.

On December 21st, 2012, Duluth Police responded to the 10 Block of East 7th Street on reports of a victim with a life threatening stab wound.

Tyman later died at Essentia/St. Mary's hospital in Duluth from a single stab wound that lacerated his liver.
