Duluth, MN (Northland's Newscenter) --- An early morning fire in Morgan Park Friday is being investigated as arson but is not believed to be related to the string of Northland arson fires.
The Duluth Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in the area of 89th avenue West and Concord Street around 4 am this morning.
When fire crews arrived heavy smoke and fire were visible coming from the last unit of a storage garage.
The first crew on scene was able to extinguish the fire quickly before it spread and it was contained to just one unit.
Crews from Gary, Spirit Valley, Lincoln Park and Headquarters were on scene for just over one hour.
Damage estimates are estimated at 2 thousand dollars including damage to one vehicle.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the Fire Marshal's Office is continuing to investigate.
