Esko, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- A car crash on I-35 near Esko early this morning left at least one dead and two injured.
A little before 7am Thursday morning, a 2000 Ford Escort was heading south bound on I-35 when the vehicle spun out due to icy roads. The Escort swerved into oncoming traffic where it was hit on the driver's side door by a 2001 Olds Aurora.
Troy and Justine Miller of Cloquet, the passengers of the Olds Aurora, were treated for their injuries and then released.
The identity of the driver of the Ford Escort is pending the family's notification.
Carlton County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
