Cass County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Five people have been arrested and are awaiting formal charges in connection with several burglaries in towns across Cass County, MN.

On Thursday, the Cass County Sheriff's Office was called to assist a DNR Conservation Officer who had come in contact with several suspicious parties on a walking trail in the Longville area.

Authorities detained and arrested four people, however one man fled the scene.

Deputies located several items that are suspected of being stolen including trailers, construction tools, ATVS, Utility Vehicles and household items. The items at the scene matched descriptions from several burglaries in the Walker, Backus, Hackensack and Longville areas.

Authorities continue to investigate these burglaries and stolen property with formal charges pending.
