Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- An 18 year old Duluth man accused of murder is expected to plead guilty at a hearing next month in St. Louis County Court.

Enrique Giner IV waived his rights to challenge probable cause in court on Thursday. Attorneys expressed an interest in resolving this case quickly with the judge scheduling a plea hearing and sentencing for September 13th.

Giner is charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of 27 year old Bryan Starnes at an apartment in the Lincoln Park neighborhood back in March.

According to the criminal complaint, Giner allegedly stabbed and bludgeoned Starnes over 50 times.

Giner was 17 at the time of the incident. He was originally charged in a juvenile delinquency petition, however he waived his right to contest an adult certification in July and was subsequently charged as an adult.
