Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- A 29-year-old Michigan woman has been arrested by Duluth Police and is a suspect in a possible homicide.
Authorities responded to a residence in the 100th block of East 5th Street for a stabbing at 11:55 a.m., on Sunday.
Duluth Police located 46-year-old Lisa Kay Davis of Duluth at the residence and she was transported to St. Lukes Hospital where she died. The suspect was found in a back bedroom and taken into custody. She is expect to be charged with 2nd Degree Murder on Tuesday.
Davis, for the past ten years has worked on and off at Custom Cab in Duluth. Her co-workers and friends remember her as outgoing, personable, and friendly.
"Lisa was a very good person, very funny," said April Ledoux of Custom Cab. "I don't know why somebody would do something like that."
Police say that a dispute over personal property, more specially clothes, is the apparent motive for the crime at this time.
"What the true motive behind it is, could be a number of different things but that's what's apparent to us right now," said Duluth Deputy Police Chief Robin Roeser.
