Keewatin Woman Sentenced After Stabbing Jacobson Man

(Northland's NewsCenter) -- A Keewatin woman has been sentenced after she stabbed a Jacobson man during a domestic dispute.

49 year old, Rae Lynn Butzbach, was convicted of 2nd Degree Assault with a Deadly weapon and will spend over two years in prison; as well as almost six months in the Itasca County Jail.

Butzbach will also serve a 10 year supervised probation sentence.

In August, the man was hospitalized after he suffered stab wounds to his left arm and the left side of his chest.

According to the criminal complaint, police officials say that the two had been at Butzbach's house, snorting Adderall and drinking.

Butzback told officials that she is mentally unstable all the time and she was on a numerous amount of medications due to her mental instability.
