Minneapolis, MN(NNCNOW.com)---After ten months of being behind bars...Duluth's Last Place on Earth owner, Jim Carlson, will finally be sentenced.

Carlson's attorney, Randall Tigue, says he was informed Thursday morning that Carlson will be sentenced August 14 in Minneapolis.

Carlson was found guilty, in October, on 51 of 54 counts related to synthetic drug sales at his downtown Duluth head shop, and has been behind bars ever since.

Carlson is facing 20 to 40 years in prison but Tigue says he will seek a significantly lesser sentence.

Tigue also plans on appealing the case, saying he will file an appeal within a day of sentencing.
