Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A cup of coffee...and an arrest...all in a days' work for a couple of Duluth Police officers today.

The officers had just left the "Coffee with a Cop" neighborhood meeting along North Central Avenue when a person yelled and pointed to a guy they say had just broken into a bunch of cars.

After a short foot chase, they were able to arrest the suspect.

29 year old Justin Rudd was identified by witnesses who say he broke into one car and was attempting to get into several others.

Rudd is currently being held at the Saint Louis County Jail, awaiting formal charges including burglary, Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Fleeing a Police Officer On Foot.

Rudd was convicted of theft of a motor vehicle back in 2007, which is a felony.
