Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A Duluth man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened a female employee with a knife and stole money at a business in Duluth's Canal Park.
On September 18 after 11 p.m. Duluth Police were called to Little Angie's Cantina #11 on the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation shows that while 52 year old Rico Burness-El was allegedly grabbing money, the employee was able to grab the knife out of the suspect's pocket and yelled at him to leave as she ran out of the office.
The suspect left in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Squads set up a perimeter and an officer noticed a man matching the suspect's description look out the rear door of Grizzly's restaurant on Lake Avenue and then go back inside as he noticed squads in the area.
Officers found the suspect inside of Grizzly's restaurant and a witness identified him as the person responsible for the armed robbery.
Burness-El was taken to the Saint Louis County jail where he is awaiting formal charges for 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery.
