Man Charged in Connection with Fond du Lac Shooting

Carlton, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A self professed member of the Native Mob is charged with seven crimes in connection with a shooting on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

The allegations are severe and Carlton County Attorney Thom Pertler said in court the charges could be amended to a more serious crime a later date.

According to a criminal complaint, Patrick Lussier discharged a silver, .22 caliber handgun at two people Sunday night.

The incident started when another person apparently refused to give Lussier a ride to Duluth.

The complaint says this made him angry, causing Lussier to brandish his gun, and threaten others. The complaint says he stated that he's a member of the Native Mob, then discharged his gun.

He followed up, by making intimidating calls with homicidal intentions, according to witnesses.

He's charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, terroristic threats, the reckless discharge of a firearm, and endangering safety with a firearm.

He's being held on 150,000 dollars bail.
