Hibbing, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- A Hibbing man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after he was found guilty of invading a home and raping a woman.

25-year old Brian Donnell Bridges was found guilty of two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, first degree burglary and third degree assault.

Bridges will spend 26 years in prison, after the court credited him for 4 years already spent behind bars.

Back in June 2008, Bridges raped, choked and threatened to kill a woman after he invaded her home in Hibbing. The woman suffered a broken clavicle.

Bridges gave investigators numerous alibi witnesses, but police say all had denied being with the defendant during the home invasion.
