Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - For the second time in a week Duluth Police have nabbed another person with suspected connections to the possession and sale of heroin.
This latest bust comes just blocks from where police recovered approximately seven grams of heroin last Thursday.
Duluth Police say a two-year-old was present when police arrested 25-year-old Robert Chism of Chicago on Friday for the sale of 7 grams of heroin.
During the search of a home on the 100 Block of East 4th Street, Duluth police recovered 7 grams of heroin, and $2,500.
On Monday, Chism was formally charged in St. Louis County Court with eight counts of third degree sale of heroin and one count of second degree sale of the drug.
During the investigation eight undercover buys of heroin were made directly from Chism.
Last Thursday, Duluth Police arrested 31-year-old Carvell Robinson on charges related to the sale and possession of seven grams of heroin and 28-hundred dollars in cash at a motel on the 300 block of east Superior Street in Duluth.
Charges of heroin sale and child endangerment are pending against Robinson.
Authorities say last week's busts were part of a larger group of heroin dealers from Chicago over the past several months. Police say they will continue to follow leads in the investigation.
