Hibbing, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A man has been taken into custody and faces charges after police say he accidentally shot himself in the hand.
On October 21 at 9:05 p.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a shooting that happened in the 4400 block of Tweeten Road in Cherry Township.
Police say 46-year-old James Frank Kriznar shot himself in the hand with a handgun and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Kriznar was taken into custody on October 22 for expected formal charges of Felon in Possession of a firearm.
The incident was investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and was determined to be a self-inflicted accidental shooting.
