Waseca, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A teenage Minnesota boy has pleaded not guilty to charges he plotted to kill his family and stage an attack on his high school.
John Ladue appeared in Waseca County juvenile court Monday.
His defense team has issued a so-called "denial plea."
The judge ordered an extensive "certification study" to determine whether the seventeen-year old should be charged as an adult.
The study will include psychological exams and is expected to take several weeks.
Ladue is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree damage to property and six counts of possession of a bomb by someone under 18.
