Pine County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities say they have found 32 more animals in poor health in connection with an animal abuse case in Pine County.
Officers executed a search warrant at a farm on Pioneer Road in Pine County after authorities received a tip that an owner accused of animal neglect and abuse was operating more properties in the area.
Sheriff's investigators say they found 14 horses, 15 dogs and 3 cats that were in very poor health and in need of immediate care and removal. Officers also found the partial remains for one horse on the property.
The animals are now in the care of rescue organizations and veterinarians for immediate treatment and assessment.
By Minnesota State Statute, the owner now has 10 days to file a request for judicial review of the seizure of the animals.
This is in connection with a September search of a farm along Holly Road in rural Pine County where authorities recovered 135 animals including horses, dogs, chickens and ducks that were found in filthy conditions.
The owner of the animals is not being named at this time as this investigation is still on going.
