Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Beltrami County Bank

Kelliher, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Police are investigating an armed robbery at the First State Bank of Big Fork in Kelliher, MN that happened earlier this afternoon.

According to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office, authorities received a call about a robbery around 2:30pm Monday afternoon at the First State Bank of Big Fork

Authorities say that a suspect entered the bank, dressed in a white hooded cloth or Tyvek type of coveralls with black tennis shoes and black gloves.

The suspect was also seen wearing a plastic Halloween mask that looked like a ghost and was carrying a large black bag.

The suspect brandished a shotgun with a silver type barrel at the bank employee and left on foot headed east from the bank.

An undetermined amount of money was taken.

No vehicle was seen in the area however police do believe the suspect fled in a car, but do not know in which direction.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office is asking that anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call police immediately.
