Buffalo, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Police have arrested a 30-year-old man who has confessed to vandalizing several churches.

Methodist, Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian and 7th Day Adventist churches were all targeted.

Damage ranged from smashed in doors to broken stain glass windows. Hand-written messages expressing anti-gay and anti-religious views were found at four of the churches.

The suspect told police he was motivated to commit the acts due to his anger with God over personal issues.

Charges are pending.
