Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Duluth police are investigating a shooting incident that lead officers to the seizure of $200,000 worth of marijuana inside a home.

Police were called to a house along the 900 Block of East 9th Street around 1 a.m. Monday on the report of a shooting.

The 35-year-old victim told police that three men wearing ski masks allegedly forced their way into his house.

The victim says when he confronted them, two of the suspects ran away. However, he says the third suspect fought him and then shot the victim in the shoulder.

The victim was taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening injury, and remains there in stable condition.

When authorities asked to search the victim's house, police say the man would not consent.

After obtaining a search warrant, police say they found 56 pounds of marijuana and $12,000 cash.

The marijuana has a street value of over $200,000.

Duluth Police continue to investigated this incident and asked anyone with information to contact the Duluth Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.
