Proctor man arrested for stealing, driving excavator drunk

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After allegedly driving a stolen excavator down a Duluth sidewalk while drunk, a Proctor man is in trouble with the law.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 27-year-old Dustin Lunde was arrested on March 9 after driving the Caterpillar excavator near Superior Street and Michigan Avenue just after 3:30 a.m.

Authorizes say Lunde allegedly stole the machine and his blood alcohol content was allegedly more than twice the legal limited.

Lunde was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and second degree DWI.
