Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Arizona man accused of a fatal shooting in Superior last week has been turned over to Douglas County authorities.

41-year-old Juan Padilla waived his extradition from Minnesota and was brought over to Superior Thursday morning to face charges in connection with the death of Terrance Luukkonen.

Padilla, a 20-year military veteran and former Arizona Police Officer, is accused of shooting 46-year-old Luukkonen in the head last week in the parking lot of Genesis Attachments on Connors Point.

Police say Luukkonen's fiancé was the former girlfriend of Padilla.

Padilla is expected to appear in Douglas County Court on Friday.
