Hermantown, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- A 37 year old Duluth woman is awaiting formal charges after she was arrested for allegedly stealing several credit cards from a car and using those cards to purchase $1,200 worth of items at Walmart.
Duluth police sent out a picture from Walmart's surveillance cameras on Wednesday, July 5th, asking for the public's help in identifying the woman in the photo who was suspected of stealing credit cards from a vehicle.
Police were flooded with calls identifying the woman and her whereabouts. With the public's help, authorities located and arrested the woman in the picture on the 200 Block of East Superior Street.
Authorities found some of the stolen items in the suspect's home and the woman admitted to the fraudulent credit card
The suspect is currently being held at the St. Louis County Jail and is awaiting formal charges of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property and Felony Financial Transaction Fraud.
This case remains under investigation.
The Duluth Police Department would like to thank the public for their quick response and assistance in this case which ultimately lead to this arrest.
