Suspect charged in Duluth bank robbery

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- A Duluth man has been charged after allegedly robbing a bank and holding the teller at knifepoint last Friday.

51-year-old Scott Edward Wagner was charged in St Louis County Court today with one count of first degree aggravated robbery.

Police say Wagner walked into the U.S. Bank at 2000 West Superior Street on Friday, reached over the counter and held a knife to the teller's throat and demanded money.

The 51-year-old was given the money and ran from the scene.
Just a half an hour later authorities located the him in an alley on 23rd Avenue West.

The stolen cash was recovered.

Bail was set for Wagner at $100,000.
