Bemidji, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A report of a possible DWI on Highway 2 in Beltrami County ended in a High Speed Chase and shots fired on the Red Lake Reservation Tuesday night.

Timothy Lance Scott, a 33-year-old from Grygl, MN, allegedly lead officers on a 30 mile chase reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour.

Authorities followed Scott's truck onto the reservation where Tribal police used stop sticks to halt his truck.

It went into the ditch, but Scott kept driving until his vehicle was boxed in by squad cars.

Scott then allegedly tried to run down a county deputy who fired two shots at his truck.

When Scott left the vehicle he grabbed a logging chain.

That's when officers subdued him and took him into custody.

He's being held on potential charges including assault and DWI.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Bemidji Police and Red Lake Tribal Police.
