Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - A bill cracking down on synthetic drugs is now on its way to Governor Mark Dayton's office.
There were significant differences between the house and senate versions of the legislation. But Monday night the senate passed the final version worked out in conference committee.
Duluth officials have referred to the city as 'ground zero' in the statewide fight against synthetic marijuana.
According to Senator Roger Reinert his bill will tighten enforcement and enhance prosecution of the sale and use of synthetic drugs in Duluth.
