Monitcello, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- One truck driver had quite the scare this morning.
John Nettifee, 35 of Anoka, MN was traveling eastbound on I-94 near Monticello when he accidentally crossed the median and drove onto an ice covered pond.
Nettifee was able to crawl out of the truck and walk across the ice to safety. He sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the Monticello Hospital.
Authorities say that the truck skidded between 100 to 200 yards on the ice before it finally fell through into 7 ft. of icy cold water.
Crews have pulled the truck out of the water, but the accident is still under investigation.
