Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A suspect is in custody following a bank robbery in Duluth's Lincoln Park earlier this morning.
Authorities were called to the U-S Bank at 2000 West Superior at nine forty one this morning on reports of a bank robbery.
Police say a man entered the bank, reached over the counter and held a knife to the teller's throat and demanded money.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect, a 51-year-old man was given the money, police won't say how much, then ran from the scene.
Just a half an hour later authorities located the suspect in an alley on 23rd Avenue West.
The stolen cash was recovered.
Witnesses near the scene recounted what they saw as the robbery was unfolding.
"We arrived to work this morning at United Upholstery and we saw all the police cars from all different directions going towards the bank," said Tony Tharaleson.
"I was actually heading to work this morning and when I got down here, I saw multiple squads at the bank here. I'm not really shocked, surprisingly. I've seen the last bank robbery a couple of months ago," said witness, Courtney Strong.
The 51-year-old suspect is facing charges of armed robbery.
He is currently being held in the St Louis County Jail.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbing this same bank on New Year's Eve of 20-13.
