Contract Approved for Duluth's New Superintendent

DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The contract is approved for Duluth's new superintendent, Doctor I.V. Foster, and he's getting an extra $1,000 to jump-start his job.

The Duluth school board approved a three-year contract today.

Dr. Foster will make point-five percent more than current superintendent Dr. Keith Dixon, putting his salary at almost $174,000 this year plus benefits.

Each year after Foster will get a one percent raise.

To ensure a smooth transition, the board also approved giving him $1,000 to meet with staff and the public before starting his job officially on July 1.
