Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Duluth East High School students are looking toward the next chapter in their lives after graduating Wednesday night.

LittleHorse Drumming Group kicked off the ceremony at the DECC auditorium where 395 students received their high school diplomas.

Embedded in the graduates were students who would have been Central High School's Class of 2013.

They were sophomores when the school closed in 2011.

During commencement, some Central veterans wore a Trojan pin on their gowns.

East teacher Tim Velner said this class meshed well together.

"As a teacher, I can't tell the difference. All of a sudden a student will say they were at Central. A few of them have said the first year was hard but then they found some place to fit in," Velner said.

Many of the graduates are attending the All Night Grad Party at UMD Wednesday.

The Denfeld class of 2013 graduates Thursday.
