DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- In its last regular meeting of the year, the Duluth School Board approved the district's property tax levy Tuesday for 2012.
The districts portion of property taxes, an amount at almost $26-million, is a 4.9 percent increase and matches the maximum levy set by the district earlier this year.
The levy passed five to two with members Gary Glass and Art Johnston voting "no".
Tuesday's meeting was the last one for Gary Glass and Tim Grover.
In January, Mike Meirnicki and Bill Westholm will join the board in their place.
