Esko, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- High school seniors in Esko got a jump start Tuesday on finding a job in the struggling economy.

Seniors have spent the past couple of months building resumes and researching companies, leading to an interview process.

Its part of the 17th annual "Imagine It!" day, and instructors say it's an important experience for students.

"There are two days of interviews," Esko English teacher Michele Johnson said. "They'll each go through two separate interview panels. Tuesday's is probably more nerve-wracking for most of them because it's the first time, for many, they've ever been interviewed.

"I'm really grateful for it," Esko senior Samantha Fails said. "If we didn't do it here, I probably wouldn't have done it anywhere else."

Several companies from around the Northland donated their time to conduct the two-part interviews, which will wrap up Wednesday morning.
