Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- A group of Esko 8th-graders have taken the state championship ships home, and aren't stopping there.

The game isn't football, or basketball, or hockey--it's a program called Destination Imagination--a series of challenges combining brain power and of course, the imagination.

"There are usually about five judges who will review your performance and what you did according to your challenge," said Rose Jasken, an 8th-grader at Esko Public Schools.

The performance by the six Esko 8th-graders is a wordless skit using music, masks, and props. The challenge is portraying an anti-bullying message.

After months of hard work, the Esko team took first place at the Destination Imagination State Championship on Saturday.

The next step, the global competition against the best in the world. The team needs to raise $11, 500 before May 1st.

48 states and more than 30 countries including Canada, Turkey, Korea, Guatemala, Poland, China, India, Great Britain, Brazil and Singapore will be in Knoxville, Tennessee for the competition.

If you would like to donate to the team, to help them reach the global championship, call the Esko Schools at 218-879-2969.
