Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A Hibbing School district employee has been fired following allegations of alleged discrimination.

The Hibbing School Board unanimously approved a resolution suspending an employee with the initials "SA" immediately, indefinitely and without pay.

The nature of the allegations and the name of the person involved have not been released following advisement from the school district's legal team.

The suspension was based on an investigation by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights which issued the following statement.

"Investigators have completed a memorandum outlining the investigation and findings of probable cause of discrimination."

The investigation included more than 60 interviews.

The Hibbing School Board recommends the employee be terminated.

District officials declined to comment on the nature of the incident.
