Zoo & Aquarium Offer Up Fins, Fur, & Feathers In Duluth

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) The Great Lakes Aquarium and Lake Superior Zoo are now collaborating on a discounted summer ticket program called “Fins, Fur & Feathers.”

Adult tickets for both attractions are $20 (a $4.50 savings).

Tickets for children 3-12 are $10 (a $3.50 savings).

Tickets can be purchased at both locations.

“Animals are a source of fascination for people of all ages,” said Jack LaVoy, executive director at Great Lakes Aquarium. “So now visitors can enjoy the varied animal populations of both the Zoo and Aquarium – and save some money doing it. We’re happy to partner with the Zoo on this venture and look forward to future collaborations.”

“The collaboration is good for us and our guests,” said Holly Henry, special events manager at Lake Superior Zoo. “We’ve always enjoyed our friendship with the Aquarium and appreciate all the help we’ve received from their terrific staff.”

Members from both organizations already benefit from the partnership.

Great Lakes Aquarium members receive half price admission at Lake Superior Zoo while Zoo members receive half price admission at the Aquarium.

Great Lakes Aquarium, the only freshwater aquarium in the U.S., is located on Duluth’s waterfront.

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Aquarium features animals and ecosystems from the Great Lakes Basin and around the world. Learn more at www.glaquarium.org.
