Duluth MN (Northland's NewsCenter) We all know the northland is abounding with outdoor activities, but not everyone has access to this recreation.

A group of young people from Proctor High School is working to change that.
Members of the Proctor DECA have taken on a service project to educate and equip fellow young people for outdoor adventure through their service program "Northern Outdoor Exposure".
One event on their agenda is an archery shoot at Chalstrom's Bait and Tackle this weekend.
Organizers will work as youth mentors to share some of their favorite outdoor experiences.

"We're trying to provide an experience for all these kids. I want kids to feel what I get to feel going outside and going ice fishing, going hunting, for these kids that are less fortunate."

The archery shoot at Chalstrom's Bait and Tackle runs Saturday December 11th from nine to noon at Chalstrom's indoor archery range on Rice Lake Road.

There is and outdoor education seminar at Gander Mountain in Duluth on December 19th from 1 to 4 in the afternoon.

The group is also hosting an Ice Fishing Extravaganza on Fish Lake, January 8th 9 to 3, near High Banks Resort.
