Fifth graders at Laura MacArthur Elementary school in Duluth have started a Coin Drop to raise money for World-War-Two veterans in the Northland.

Honor Flight Northland will transport World-War-Two veterans from Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin to Washington D.C...to visit and reflect on their memorials.

This year's flight will take place in May.

Money raised by the Fifth grade students will be presented to the Honor Flight Northland in the beginning of April.

"We are doing this for the World War II veterans. A lot of these kids, as we found out today, for a lot of them the WWII veterans are their grandfathers and grandmothers so they are very aware of who these people are."

It costs approximately six-hundred dollars to send one veteran to Washington D.C.
