Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The Superior Police Deparment opened registration for its 11th annual Citizens Police Academy.
This eight/nine week session is set to begin on March 21st and will provide residents information on law enforcement topics as well as offer a hands-on class experience. Police officers, evidence technicians, supervisors and detectives will explain a better understanding of police work.
The classes will be on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with one session on Saturday morning.
Candidates must live and work in Superior, be at least 21 years of age and complete an application. Also, applicants must pass a background check and have no prior felony convictions or violations.
The class is free and is limited to 25 people.
The application deadline is Friday, March 9th.
