The AMSOIL Arena was recognized as being an environmentally conscious building with a LEED Silver Certification this Monday Morning.
The DECC Officials say that this building saves thousands of dollars in energy consumption and uses the latest technologies to save heat, water, and electricity unlike other arena's.
"This entire complex of over 800,000 square feet is heated with waste heat.", said Dan Russell with the DECC.
Officials say that the AMSOIL Arena has been able to reduce its energy use nearly 60 percent over traditional arena's.
