Americans have been feeling the pressure at the pump lately, and U-S Senator Al Franken said today something needs to be done.
Gasbuddy-dot-com put the average price of gasoline in Minnesota at 3 dollars 52 cents per gallon, slightly more than in Wisconsin, where the average is 3 dollars 49 cents per gallon.
The cheapest gas we found across the region is in Cloquet, where a gallon of unleaded was selling for $3.39 a gallon.
Senator Franken advocated releasing oil from nation's strategic petroleum reserve and exploring more clean-energy options, but said he still does not support the idea of drilling the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve.
If you know of gas at a cheaper price than of that in Cloquet, let us know. Send us an email at producer@northlandsnewscenter.com, and feel free to send along a photo of the price, as well.
