We all have that one item in our closets that's our favorite; but eventually it just wears out.

In this week's "Your Green Life" Meteorologist Jeff Edmondson shows us a way we can give these old items new life.

For some of us, going through our wardrobes to remove items can be difficult even though we may never wear that T–Shirt or Sweatshirt again. For the past four years Anita Stech at Cut Loose Creations in Duluth has been offering a way to recycle those worn–out items of clothing.

"A lot of time shirts mean something to you, but you do not want to wear them as a shirt anymore or the style has gone bad. So re-purposing is the way to go", said Anita Stech. Owner Cut Loose Creations.

With the fabric all cut up, the possibilities are endless.

"Aprons, bibs for kids, some clothing for young women, laptop bags, and just a variety of products", says Anita.

The newest item Stech has been creating is a cover up. It gives us a way to keep on using the item of clothing that we've found it hard to part with.

"Something for people who spill, whether they are people who are losing function, people who have a disability of some sort. I have had people purchase them because they are sick and tired of spilling things on themselves", says Anita.

The only supplies needed to give our clothes a second life is a little thread and a lot of imagination. In Duluth, I'm Meteorologist Jeff Edmondson, The Northlands NewsCenter.
