Making lifestyle changes can be challenging, making those changes stick is the real accomplishment.

In this weeks "Your Green Life" Meteorologist Jeff Edmondson catches up with the climate idol families to see how their final challenge is going.

The four climate idol families have been living greener over the past year taking on an energy challenge, transportation challenge, food challenge, and now the lifestyle challenge.
Recently the idols got some green inspiration from a tour of the Goodwill Facilities in Duluth.

"How we use stuff and what happens to stuff after it leaves our homes," said Liz Taylor with the Duluth Sister Cities International.

The families each brought in a bag of clothes to donate to Goodwill and got a chance to see what happens to their clothes and also other items like shoes and toys that are brought in to be reused and recycled.
Looking back at the four challenges, most of the families say that the transportation challenge was the most difficult, but helped them create new transportation habits.

"My friends bike to my house now instead of taking the car," said Matt Kohlin. Climate Idol.

The Climate Idol Families are confident that these challenges have lasting lifestyle changes.

"I think we have improved a lot, we came into to climate idols thinking we were all pretty good at conserving and being good to the environment, and we all found out that there are a lot of people doing a lot of great things. And we had a lot of room for improvement," said Pat Kohlin. Climate Idol.

Over the remainder of the program, the families will be challenged to "Love it Again" where they will be reducing their consumption habits, buying goods from second hand stores and borrowing tools from friends and Neighbors.
