Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota Power gets key approval to begin a second wind project at a wind farm in North Dakota.
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission approved the company's request to build Bison 2, a $157 million wind farm that will be located by its Bison 1 wind project, which is currently under construction.
Both projects are located on a wind farm near New Salem, ND.
The wind farms are a part of Minnesota Power's effort to meet Minnesota's Renewable Energy Standard of producing 25 percent renewable energy by 2025.
