HIBBING, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)--Carolers and kids, law enforcement and local organizations filled the streets in Downtown Hibbing Thursday evening for the Spirit of Unity Parade.
About 20 local organizations took part in the parade.
This years theme was "schools are out of this world."
The Hibbing High School Student Council spent the weeks leading up to the parade making signs and decorating their float.
"It gets the town ready for Christmas," Daisy Degnan, a junior said. "It gets everyone in the spirit."
"It gets everybody excited," Tayler Finco, a senior said.
The Spirit of Unity Parade has been a celebration since the 1980s.
